Michael Livingston
Michael is a data specialist with a background in research and academia. He recently received his doctorate from the University of Victoria, where he specialized in modelling the effects of climate change on carbon cycling in the ocean. Throughout his Ph.D. he led multiple field expeditions across the Pacific Ocean and discovered new ways to predict changes in the oceans carbon cycle. He has also spearheaded multiple consulting organizations and clubs, with projects including digital transformation strategies and market analysis for water technology clients.
Outside of the office, you can usually find Michael playing sports, hiking the various trails of Vancouver Island, or reading non-fiction on the beach. He is currently an avid player and proponent of the sport Spikeball and is always looking for likeminded individuals to join the Victoria league!
