Pietra Basilij
Pietra specializes helping organizations develop and operationalize ambitious plans and strategies through identifying the governance structures, financial mechanisms, partnerships, and processes needed to bring them to life. She excels at developing prioritization and decision-making frameworks, facilitating tough conversations about trade-offs, and developing resourcing strategies to align human, financial, and operational resources to organizational objectives. Since joining Cascadia in 2019, Pietra has advised numerous public and private sector clients on strategy development, de-risking entry to new markets, and managing the transition to new operating models.
Prior to joining Cascadia, Pietra led industrial initiatives and sustainability programs for the Vancouver Economic Commission where she managed several complex, multi-year stakeholder engagement processes. Her interest lies in building the resilience of organizations, communities, and industries, and in improving access to public services.
Outside of work, Pietra can be found hiking, mountain biking, or snowboarding in the BC backcountry.
