A major Canadian port handles hundreds of millions of tonnes of cargo a year, with trade volumes forecasted to continue to grow over the coming decades. Greater visibility into how the transportation and logistics supply chain is operating can provide insights to maximize the performance of existing infrastructure, as well as help guide investments in new infrastructure. To achieve greater visibility for all participants across the supply chain, the client embarked on a multi-year digital supply chain transformation, working to develop a KPI dashboard, as well as analytics and forecasting tools, to increase visibility into the transportation & logistics system.

Key accomplishments to-date include engaging 50+ stakeholders to understand data and analytics needs, securing data feeds from critical supply chain partners, procuring a master data management solution, and beginning implementation of this platform.

• Gathered and documented functional and technical requirements for a multi-stakeholder Master Data Management platform​.
• Aligned executives across multiple organizations on a data governance strategy.
• Led vendor procurement process and prioritization of data analytics and visualization tools to serve the diverse needs of the project stakeholders.
