An international shipping line launched a process to design, develop, test, and deploy a new ERP system that needed to be integrated with more than 20 best-of-breed fleet management systems. These 20 systems created the need to develop over 50 different integration points, spanning a broad range of functionalities, including fleet management and maintenance, shipping operations, accounting, banking, payroll, taxes, reporting and procurement.
- Our Approach
- Managed the integration of more than 20 satellite systems into a new ERP system, covering 55 separate integration points.
- Led the design, development, tesing, and deployment of the 55+ technology interfaces, collaborating closely with a team of client employees, executives, consultants, and 3rd-party vendors.
- Led a series of small task forces dedicated to handling the changes to the satellite systems, testing the integrations, and troubleshooting integration challenges.
- Outcome
Following successful implementation of the ERP and integration of the satellite systems, the system was rolled out globally to manage shipping line operations, finance, and administration.
