Following 8 months of severely limited air travel in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cascadia worked with an international airport to identify significant financial risks and reframe financial decision-making.

• Analyzed relationships between passenger volumes, operating costs, and revenues.
• Evaluated options for bringing costs in line with revenues throughout fluctuations in air traffic volumes.
• Made recommendations on operations, pricing, and capital project prioritization to maintain financial solvency through an ongoing crisis.

Financial decision-making was adjusted to improve capital and operational investment decisions under various COVID-19 recovery scenarios.
