Paul Hiom Partner
Paul has 20 years of consulting experience in technology planning, strategic planning, capital planning, and operations analysis. He has worked with clients in a variety of different industries, with extensive focus on government, health care, transportation, and telecommunications. Paul is the former Vancouver Lead Partner for KPMG Advisory, and a former Senior Partner with SECOR and RPO Management Consultants. He has led major projects requiring skillsets in IT and business transformation, finance, economics, and operations. Paul holds a B'Comm in Management Information Systems and a M'Sci. B.A. in Operations and Logistics from the University of British Columbia.
Alastair Caddick Partner
Alastair is an experienced management consultant, project manager and senior executive. He has 20 years’ experience providing clients with advice and hands-on support to their most challenging business problems. Alastair consulted with a global top-tier consulting firm and was a Partner for a local Vancouver based consulting firm. More recently, he served as Vice President of Strategic Programs for CHC Helicopter, a global helicopter company operating in 20 countries. Alastair holds an HBA from the Ivey Business School, and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Ivey's Alumni Network.
Jonathan Snoek Partner
Jonathan brings insightful, data rich, and practical solutions to critical issues facing organizations. He brings 13 years of management consulting experience, most recently as a senior manager in KPMG’s strategy consulting group. His experience has focused on the public sector but also spans private sector industries: energy, resources, and defence. He holds a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University where he was elected Valedictorian. He sits on the board of the BC Housing Foundation and teaches a program at the Sauder School of Business on Management Consulting.
John Merkley Partner
John specializes in economic analysis and capital planning. His recent engagements include capital planning to support a $7.5 billion transportation infrastructure program, operations planning with Canada’s largest port authority, and development of a public-private-partnership within a $3 billion laboratory services budget. Prior to founding Cascadia, John worked with a global consulting firm supporting private corporations and all levels of government. John holds a B'Comm. and M'Mgmt. from Queen's University, and a M'Sci. Econ. from Maastricht University.
Robert St-Aubin Partner
Robert has over 15 years of combined management consulting experience and highly quantitative and analytical academic research. Robert has broad expertise in project management, IT implementation, IT integration and system selection for a vast array of different software applications (finance and accounting, maintenance, projects, payroll, fleet operation, supply chain, permitting, etc.). Robert holds a PhD in Computer Science and an MSc in Mathematics/Statistics from the University of British Columbia. Robert is also a member of the Project Management Institute and hold a PMP Certification.
Chris Snow Associate
Chris specializes in forecasting, modeling and strategic business planning. Chris' recent engagements include working with Metro Vancouver to analyze property taxes and homelessness in the Lower Mainland, completing a review of US wine industry subsidization, completing taxi demand and supply analysis for BC’s third largest metropolitan area, aiding a large Canadian retailer in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of an alternative business model and market expansion approach, and working with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) with an economics review of their Northern Strategy for supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in the northern regions of Canada. Prior to joining Cascadia, Chris worked with a global consulting firm supporting private corporations and Canadian Government Ministries. Prior to this, Chris completed his MBA at Ivey Business School.
Jared Friedman Partner
Jared has spent the past 10 years of his career working for both boutique and global consulting firms, and specializes in business strategy, government operations and technology implementations. Jared is focused on delivering high value client engagements to municipalities and provincial organizations, having served 10 municipalities and provincial agencies across B.C. in the last 5 years. Jared’s diverse experience and background gives him a solid understanding of technology and operations, helping clients make informed decisions and achieve sustainable improvements. Jared holds an Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Cornell University.
